Most Dangerous Road in the World

An online digital experience within the Discovery framework that allows users to drive all three roads from Highway Thru Hell in order to uncover stories that have been pinned along the way where they actually occurred. An accompanying rescue simulator was created that gave viewers the chance to  make the tough decisions of a heavy towing operation and see the results.

The Process

Toyota came on board through Saatchi & Saatchi after seeing the innovative technology and design we were developing. Unable to gain access to Google’s road view through the API we set out and actually recreated the drive taking photos every few meters. Those photos load in low res as the user progresses, but the backend will load the high res version once they stop scrolling to create a seamless experience.
